Escape Employee Portal

  1. Use a laptop or desktop when initially creating the password for the Escape Employee Portal - not a mobile device.

  1. Do not use Google Search to look up the login page for the Escape Employee Portal. Trying to use Google will give you the wrong link. Please go to the main MJUSD website, click on "Staff" near the upper right corner, and then click on "Escape Employee Portal" after that. You will know that it's the correct page if you can see our MJUSD logo near the top.

  1. Please pay extra attention to make sure that auto-fill doesn't overwrite or replace anything. This seems to happen somewhat frequently and is often the cause of issues when trying to set up the account. When clicking over to the next field, please pay attention to make sure whatever you just typed doesn't get changed as you click away. Do not click on any auto-fill options to fill in any of the boxes, not even for the email. Type in everything directly yourself.

  1. Type in the info exactly as you see it in the invite email - even if it's incorrect or no longer accurate. This is the way Personnel has the information, and it needs to match that exactly. If you would like to change the info you see there, please contact Personnel. When typing in the email, please make sure you are using your work email with the long ending.

  1. Don't use the suggested strong password that Google may try to use. Create your own password and make sure it's at least 15 characters long. Easiest way to do this is to pick 4 words that make sense to you, add a number, upper case letter, and a special symbol.

  1. Click the link to set up your account/password soon after you get the invite email. If you wait too long (more than a day), you may need a new invite email sent.

I am also going to include a short 4 minute video on how to reset your Escape Employee Password if ever needed. The video also goes over many of the steps listed here:
