Asset Essentials Instructions

Asset Essentials is the ticketing software used by the Maintenance department for work assignment and tracking.  Technology tickets are managed with SchoolDude.  All faculty members have an Asset Essentials account, their MJUSD Google account is used for authentication.  Please follow the instructions below for submitting tickets:

Step 1

Asset Essentials can be access with this link or by going to the mjusd.com homepage and selecting "Maintenance Ticketing System" under the Staff menu

Step 2

After opening Asset Essentials, click on the "Create Request" link in the Quick Links section of the Dashboard

Step 3

Click on the "Location" dropdown menu

Step 4

Select the location for the work being requested

Step 5

Enter the area or room number in the "Area/Room #" text field

Step 6

Click on the "Work Category" dropdown menu and select the category that best fits the work being requested

Step 7

Type a detailed description of the issue in the "Work requested" text field

Step 8 (optional)

Upload an document or picture files that are relavant to the work being requested

Step 9

Click the "Save" button to submit the ticket for approval
