School Spirit

Sportsmanship

Quince Orchard High School is known for its school spirit and class loyalty demonstrated by our tremendous enthusiasm for our teams, performances, and shows.  These positive attributes are expressed with good nature and great school pride.  School spirit should not be overcome by loud or uncalled for behavior which reflects badly on the whole group.   MCPS and Quince Orchard place a great deal of emphasis on good sportsmanship.  Behavior at all contests, shows, plays, assemblies, and student or guest performances should be positive.  Negative or inappropriate comments directed at opposing teams, individual players, or performers will not be tolerated.  In particular students should be respectful when a player is injured.  Remember athletic contests, assemblies and performances are an extension of the classroom learning environment.  Musical instruments and noisemakers, other than those in the Pep Band, are not permitted at any indoor activity and may be restricted at outdoor events.  Stomping on the bleachers and other potentially destructive behaviors are not allowed.

Violations will result in removal from the event and other appropriate disciplinary actions.
