Financial Transactions/Obligations
The Financial Specialist is available before school, from 7:20 to 7:40 a.m., during lunch, and after school from 2:30 to 3:00 p.m. to handle school-related financial transactions, i.e., lost books or other financial obligations/concerns. Students/Parents/Caregivers are urged to retain their receipts for all transactions, particularly the return of textbooks.
Books and other school-owned items, including Google Chromebooks, Promethean Board accessories, etc., are used by students in our classrooms and must be returned in good condition or the student is responsible to pay for the book/item. Students are responsible for all items assigned to them or check out to them that are lost or stolen.
Students with financial obligations will be prohibited from participating in extracurricular activities. This includes (but is not limited to) homecoming activities, athletics, drama productions, clubs, etc. Once the obligation has been cleared, students may participate in the activity or purchase tickets to a school event.
Parking permits and lunch passes will not be issued to students with obligations.
All checks must be made payable to Quince Orchard HS and include the student’s name and ID number. A fee of $25.00 will be charged for a check or money order returned by the bank (as required by MCPS).
A deadline date is announced each year beyond which the school will not accept checks or money orders from seniors for fees or obligations, and only cash will be accepted.
