Lost /Stolen Items

Students may avoid loss or theft of their belongings by maintaining simple precautions.  These include regular and confidential use of his/ her locker, labeling personal items such as jackets, gym shoes, bags, and by ensuring that materials are secure during athletic practices, etc.  If an item is stolen it should be immediately reported and a written report submitted to a school security team member. ALL reasonable attempts will be made to recover the item, but the responsibility for replacing a school-owned item remains with the student.  Students should keep all receipts for replaced items so that their money can be refunded by the guilty party if the lost/stolen item is recovered.  The school cannot replace or reimburse students for lost/stolen personal items. Such losses should be reported to a security team member and when appropriate, to the police. Students are encouraged to leave non-school related and/or expensive items at home.
