School Bus Transportation
Many students at Quince Orchard High School are provided bus transportation. Rules for appropriate school behavior apply to time spent on the bus. The bus driver is responsible for all riders on the bus and, as a result, has responsibility for the conduct of students riding their bus. The bus driver will report any behavior problems to the school administrators who may deny bus riding privileges to students. School bus routes and information from the MCPS Department of Transportation for the 2023-2024 school year can be found here.
Students are expected to observe the rules listed below:
Remain in line at least five feet from the bus. Move toward the bus only when the door opens.
Ride only the bus you are regularly assigned.
Maintain an acceptable manner of conduct at all times.
Remain seated while the bus is in motion.
Do not extend arms or head out of bus windows.
Keep the aisles clear of personal items.
Do not eat or drink on the bus.
Do not damage or deface any part of the bus.
Do not tamper with the emergency doors.
Do not operate the service door.
Cross the highway after getting off of the bus only after the driver signals that it is safe.
Do not throw anything out of a school bus.
