Safety Drills
Fire Drills and Emergency Drills (lockdown, shelter, and tornado drills) are conducted for the safety of the entire school community.
All emergency announcements and practice drills must be taken seriously.
During an emergency or drill, students must walk quickly and quietly with their class to the designated area, where teachers will re-take attendance and report attendance to assigned administrative staff.
Visitors to the building during safety drills, such as Parents/Caregivers or maintenance workers must comply with the emergency procedures in place.
Everyone in the building must be accounted for during the drill.
Students are to remain in place during the drill until an announcement is made that they may return to class.
Upon that announcement, students are expected to return promptly to class with their teacher, using the most direct route back to the classroom unless otherwise directed.
