Scholarships & Grants for SC Residents
The SC Commission on Higher Education is a resource that provides many students with scholarships, such as, Palmetto Fellows, LIFE, HOPE, Lottery Tuition Assistance, and others.
All colleges offer merit scholarships, which you do not have to apply for separately. Just by applying to the college early enough, you are considered. They post the criteria on their websites. It is a "pot" of money that can run out, so if you apply too late, you may not get funds even if you meet the criteria.
