About School Counseling

Most things mentioned by the student in counseling are held in confidence.

The exceptions (limitations) to this rule are: when the counselor believes there is a real danger to student or to others.

When students pose a threat to themselves or others or violate the law, the law requires counselors to report such situations.

In compliance with federal law, Lancaster County School District administers all education programs, employment activities, and admissions without discrimination against any person on the basis of sex, race, color, religion, national origin, age or disability.
