The Office of the Governor of South Carolina working with the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) and businesses, has created a job board for young jobseekers – the Youth Employment Site (YES). https://dew.sc.gov/youthemployment

This online job database is a safe and interactive introduction to the workforce with a myriad of resources. Young people can find part-time, after-school or weekend jobs across the state in various industries.

In addition to learning about teamwork and collaboration in the classroom, a student who has a job also learns about responsibility, financial planning, time management and teamwork at the workplace.

Requirements

1. Be at least 21 years of age.

2. US citizenship.

3. Have a H.S. diploma or GED certificate.

4. Have a valid SC driver's license.

5. Have a good driving record.

6. Have a clean criminal history.

7. Have a satisfactory credit history.

8. Have an honorable military discharge (if applicable).
