A few styles I am interested in for my independent study are black and white, architectural, portraits and nature. To learn these on my own, I just practice with a few subjects first and work my way up. Then I could watch YouTube videos or ask my photography mentors if need be. My themes that I am interested in are plants, people and things that interest me. I chose these because it’s something that I have worked with in the past but want to bring back because it was so much fun. I want to incorporate these themes and styles by going for it and upload better pictures each week. When I edit, I’d like to do black and white and just a few simple enhancements. This will make my photo stronger because they will now “POP”.

1. I didn’t really have much of a theme. So I was just taking pictures throughout this project. I didn’t do much editing but when I did it was very light.
2. & 3. Most of these photos use rule of thirds some use framing and they all are apart of the elements and principles, a lot of color, very natural lighting. Different viewpoints and angles and color and patterns.
4. The meaning behind most of my photos is just capturing the moment right then and there of fun colorful things and family.
5. I was very proud of how my cousins graduation photos turned out. Because I was able to catch that moment when the cap was in the air and the one that is in black and white looks so smooth. I kinda wish I focused on one thing a week just to really see my progress.
