For my independent study I want to focus on patterns, colors, and textures through my photographs. Some of my themes will be nature, things in my daily life, and portraits. My subject matter will be friends, family, places I travel to an explore, and a few pictures of my cat here and there.

1. The woek that I have chosen to be on here are just parts of my life that I have photographed. I put my pets, my friends, and just objects around my life. I used different angles and different depths of field to create these photos. I didnt put much editing on these photos except for filters and changed the exposure and saturation just a little bit. I specifically chose to take these pictures becuase i thought they would be cool to turn into something.

2 & 3. My techiniques that I used were taking multiple pictures at different angles and then choosing one that I liked best and just went with it. I tried to use all of the elements and princeples for the end out come of my independent study. some weeks I didnt meet all of them but theres a little bit of everything in there. I also made sure to use the rule of thirds in every picture I took.

4. The themes i have chosen is just the stuff in my daily life and I wanted to try to make the photographs interesting to depict that I have an interesting life. This was significant to me because all the things these photographs show are very important to me and to my life. I tried to take pictures to depict the significance of the object by using diffrernt angles, lighting, and editing techniques

5. I think I was successful at taking pictures that show my life and the important things in it. Im proud that Ikept with this and took at least five pictures a week and that I tried to take interesting photographs which I beleive I acomplished. I wish I wouldve tried some different techniques and maybe chose some more intersting things. I learned that trying to take good photographs is actually hard work and dedication to get a good picture that you are proud of.
