For my independent study, I will be focusing on still life, modern and older architecture, nature, and portraits. Some of my subject matter will be my friends, family, and places that I go on the weekends. I will explore using different angles, lighting, and depth of field. Some styles I may use is differnt framing and different filters.
1. In my independent study, I focused on capturing pictures that interested me or things that I really cared about. For my editing techniques I wanted to leave it in its natural form, but for the editing that i did use I wanted it to be as simple as possible. I think the thing that most interested me was taking the pictures and turning the most simplest things into pictures that I liked.
2 & 3. During the independent study I tried to really focus on rule of thirds, using different angles, and trying to frame each picture with different things I had around. For my elements I used lines, shape, color, and texture. For my principles I used movement, balance, and variety.
4. For my photos I took they are meaningful for me because they are things that happened to me in life and everything in life is important.
5. I am proud that I could capture the pictures and I think that they turned out pretty good. I wish that I could have gone more places that were fun and not as boring. I learned that I like taking pictures of simple things.
