Chandler Justice

For my proposal, I will do a focus on nature style photography, and I am going to go out and take pictures of scenic natural spots in the areas near me. I am going to have a prime interest in animals, the weather conditions, and natural or man-made formations such as sculptures, old buildings or cars, and rock or plant formations. I have chosen these images because I like to find out more about the world around me, and I will find some way to make them have some sort correlation between the images. Focus on shades and changing of the saturation of colors are what I am going to focusing on as a way to make the images take upon an otherworldly feel to them.

Reflections

1. I have chosen the subjects in this image because of my love of history. Historical sites, items, and stories mean a lot to me because we should document them as a way of rememebring what happened in the past and I think photography is a great way to do that. The other subjects that I chose to focus on such as animals and the natural world are things that are personal to me and my life. For the images I used techniques such as rule of thirds to help put certain details in focus such as details in the foreground. To further enhance these images during the editing process I added some blur in the background of some of the images.
2. My photos show a strong use of framing, texture, space, and rythm. For example, in my landscape photographs, I a lot texture from the details you see in the photo.
3. A lot of my photos show use of angles taken at a side angle from the corners of objects and buildings.
4. My photographs of Cades Cove shows the passage of time within the natural world, and how it effects the world around them.
5. My photographs show a sucessful acknowledgement of the elements and principals, along with composition. I am proud of my photographs from Cades Cove because they show a lot of impressive use of composition.
