Portfolio Reflection:

• In the beginning of this project, I set out to photograph subjects in the way I see them. I think I experimented well with that, in how I chose different angles or distances when photographing my subject. I experimented more with color when editing, to bring something exciting to some of the more dull photos I took.
• Again, color was probably my most thought about element. I really wanted to showcase fun colors. I probably thought the most about balance when taking my photos and when adding them to the page. I wanted to make sure all photos worked together. In some of my photos, I felt like I did not really need rule of thirds, however in most of my photos, I made an effort to use it. I also experimented a lot with different points of view when photographing my subjects.
• My photographs I think basically just explain me, and represent me. I like to photograph aspects of my life, and essentially what makes me. I choose to photograph things that bring me joy, such as nature, family, friends, my dog, and Christmas lights! Each theme I chose is a certain aspect of my life that I enjoy, however they all just add up to make me.
• I'm proud of my effort to try and edit my photos in a more exciting way. I think based off of the original photos I took, and how they came out in editing, I did a lot better of an editing job, than I have in the past with photography. If I could go back and change anything, I would try to explore more of Knoxville, and take photos of that. I took many photos at home and school, and I would like to have taken more outside of those places. I learned that photography is a really good escape for me and it can be a huge light in my life.
