For my independent study portfolio, I'm going to focus on taking photos in nature while exploring depth of field. Some of my photographs may include, pets, plants, food, and landscapes. I will be using as many editing techniques as I can such as, aperture, contrast, and coloring adjustments. I will be continuing to use rule of thirds as I carry out with my weekly assignments this semester.
After completing seven weeks of independent study, looking back on my work I mostly followed through with the themes I chose at the beginning. My photos cover lots of different things while still working with rule of thirds and depth of field. I tried to take most of my photos from different angles and took the photos until I got the correct framing that I wanted. Depth of field really sticks out to me because I think it helps signify what is the main focus of the photograph.
