Reflection

I decided to focus on my chosen themes because they are things I see in everyday life, and I often overlook their beauty. I used photography and editing techniques to enhance features that I like that the camera doesn't enhance as much as I want it to. My portfolio uses a lot of color, value, shape, form, proportion and emphasis throughout it. I tried to use rule of thirds in the majority of my pictures along with dynamic lighting and depth of field. The meaning of my work is the beauty of simplicity and everyday life. Each theme is significant to me because I enjoy looking at the kind of pictures I take. I was successful at taking a good amount of photos that I'm actually happy with. I wish I had taken a few pictures that were more abstract to add variety. Something I learned about myself while completing this portfolio was that I need to work on getting out of my comfort zone.
