Interesting facts about the Kiowas! Kiowa warriors would cut their hair short to the right side to show ear ornaments! They let their hair on the left side grow as long as possible! The Kiowa Indians fought to preserve their ways of life! However diseases brought by the white men and battles with other Indian tribes proved too much for the Indians of the plains! The remaining Kiowas were forced to live on reservations! They sometimes drank warm blood for a freshly killed animal because they believed it was good and healthy for them!
