Caddo

Food

Caddo Indians were very good fishermen. They would eat a lot of fish. They also ate nuts. They harvested pecans, chestnuts, acorns, and other nuts. They also ate fruits such as plums, mulberries, grapes, blackberries, and cherries. They mostly grew corn which they would sometimes grind in one of their large mortars. Caddo Indians also grew beans, squash, sunflower seeds, pumpkins, melons, and tobacco. The men would hunt deer, wild hogs, bear , and buffalo. The buffalos were hunted for their meat and the bears were hunted for their fat.
