This elective is designed to provide students with the foundational skills to play the ukulele, foster musical appreciation, and encourage creative expression. It addresses the DOE music standards and benchmarks. Students develop basic ukulele techniques such as picking and strumming accompaniments to popular music. Performance in whole group and ensembles will include singing, listening to, and evaluating music. The instructor may integrate other Fine Arts Standards.
