Fiber Arts 1 & 2

This introductory course explores basic fiber arts and textile-design techniques through a variety of hands-on 2D and 3D projects. Students will learn techniques inspired by cultures from around the world while creating projects such as hemp jewelry and keychains, lei making, origami, handmade books and journals, ornaments, handmade flowers, crochet, and tribal stamp designs. Students will develop creativity, craftsmanship, and an appreciation for fiber arts and textile traditions.
