Teaching as a Profession

The Teaching as a Profession pathway introduces students to careers in education, including teaching, counseling, and learning support services. Students explore how children learn and develop while gaining an understanding of teaching strategies, classroom management, educational technology, and the responsibilities of educators.

Throughout the pathway, students develop practical skills in communication, leadership, lesson planning, and working with diverse learners, including English Learners and students with special needs. Students also build a digital portfolio to demonstrate their learning, skills, and preparation for future careers in education.
