Astronomy 2 builds upon the knowledge, skills, and research experiences developed in Astronomy 1. Students explore advanced topics such as cosmology, stellar evolution, galaxies, exoplanets, and asteroids while developing greater independence in observation and data analysis. Students may also continue and expand Science Fair and Mauna Kea Scholars research begun in Astronomy 1, allowing long-term astronomy projects to evolve as new data and research questions emerge.
