AP Research

Recommended for seniors who have completed AP Seminar, this course gives students the opportunity to design, plan, and conduct a year-long, research-based investigation on a topic of personal interest. Students apply scholarly research methods to explore real-world issues, analyze data, and present evidence-based conclusions. The course emphasizes independent inquiry, critical thinking, and advanced academic writing, culminating in three performance tasks — including a written paper and oral presentation.

Note: This course counts as a general elective credit and does not fulfill the ELA 11 or ELA 12 requirement.
