Early College Dual Credit Program
Through Hawaiʻi’s Early College program, high school students can earn both high school and college credit at the same time by taking University of Hawaiʻi (UH) 100-level or higher courses. These classes are taught by UH instructors and are offered in a supportive, high school-based environment designed to help students succeed in college-level work.
Early College gives students a head start on their degree, builds confidence, and helps them transition smoothly to college. Students must complete a Dual Credit Application with approval from their parent/guardian, counselor, and principal before enrolling. Counselors help ensure courses meet high school requirements and guide students through prerequisites and registration.
This program is one of Hawaiʻi’s most valuable opportunities for motivated students to experience college now — and graduate high school with credits already earned toward their future degree.
