Principal's Message

Dear Brown School Family,

Our mural painting class has been working hard to make our spaces feel warm and inviting. They are currently busy on a tree on the pedway outside the Student Support Center and are making plans to create some school spirit murals for the first floor. I can't wait to see the finished product!

Love,

Dr. Angela, Principal

Parent / Guardian Technology Survey

Brown Families,

We would love your feedback on the Parent / Guardian Technology Survey so we can get a baseline of what support and how familiar you are when it comes to using JCPS/Brown technology. Our goal is to form a Parent / Guardian Tech Team this school year so we can build resources to help families become more tech savvy! Click this LINK to fill-out the survey. It should take no more than 15 minutes. We appreciate any feedback you can provide.

If you ever have any technology concerns or questions please email our Digital Innovation Coach and School Technology Coordinator, Drew Paige.

Volleyball has had 2 matches this past week that could have gone either way, but the ball didn't bounce in our favor. The growth in our team is amazing and we are so proud of the hard work of the players and coaches. They will be in action on Thursday 9/1 at Doss.

Cross country is going great and our runners are getting lots of good experience in our meets. The participated in the Tiger Run over the weekend and will head back to Champions Park for the St. X meet tonight. Here is the meet schedule for this year: LINK.

This week I'm visiting middle school classes to talk about Suicide Prevention. This is a tough conversation and I have been so impressed with how well our students are coping with the discussion so far. If you have any concerns or if you want your child to talk to me or a member of our team, use the Student Support Request Form linked above and one of us will be in touch.

Continue to demonstrate for your student the value of self care and coping strategies. I have spoken to many students these past few weeks who are struggling with anxiety and pressure. Practice self care strategies as a family, like guided meditation, yoga, journaling, or just talking over the dinner table. You'd be surprised what a difference the little things can make!
