Examinations

ISPH will become a fully accredited Cambridge Assessment International Examinations (CAIE) Centre and AQA Examination Centre. Parents are advised that in order to comply with the international timing of examinations, students may have to be ‘quarantined’ immediately after an examination for a few hours.

Timings of examinations may also fall outside of the stated regular school hours. Examination fees are set by the Examination Board each year. Such fees, plus courier costs for the transportation of papers, will be passed onto students’ families. All examination fees are required to be paid prior to the examinations.

Parents may volunteer to be invigilators for the IGCSE and A-Level Examinations and will be provided with the necessary training to ensure compliance with the stringent CAIE and AQA standards. IGCSE examinations will be taken by Year 11 students. Examinations can only be taken in subjects that are studied by a student at ISPH; we do not act as an examination centre for subjects studied externally.

All students studying IGCSE subjects in KS4 will be automatically entered for examinations in these subjects and parents will be billed accordingly. If parents prefer for their child to not be entered for a particular examination subject that they are studying, then they must confirm this in writing with the Head of Secondary before the 1st February of the respective year. Any requests after this date will not be considered.
