Update 7th June 2024

Happy Friday everyone,

We have enjoyed another busy week in school.

Baillie Cup

Well done to the P1-4 pupils that took part in the Baillie  Cup.  They were wonderful and everyone enjoyed the event.  Many thanks to Miss Gardner and Mrs Tracey for their weeks of dedication preparing the children for the event.  We were especially proud the team wore our new school tops. Thanks also to those families that were able to go along and support on the day.

Pizza Express

Primary 7 had a visit to Pizza Express on Thursday this week.  They had an opportunity to create their own pizza and brought these back to school to be enjoyed.

Farmness

Our nursery children had a fabulous visit to Farmness yesterday with lots of learning and fun on the farm.  The team were very proud of everyone.

Behaviour

The team are aware that as we approach the end of term the children might be feeling tired.  This can result in some children finding it difficult to make the right choice.  Please be reassured our team work with each individual child and we ask that all parents chat with their children about how to manage their feelings if they are getting annoyed. Thank you.

Transition visits

P7 have their mixing morning today at Inverness High School. On Monday and Tuesday of next week they will the High School for their two transition days.

We continue to have transition opportunities for our nursery children moving into primary 1.

It’s an exciting time for both groups of children as they move onto the next stage of their education.

Water Safety Talk

We have a water safety talk from Inverness Fire Service today for P1-7.  This is to help children understand the dangers of water and how to stay safe.  The messages were received well by all and class teachers have discussed the presentation afterwards to allow time for questions.  The link to the video will be popped onto google classroom later.  The fire engine was enjoyed by all.  Thanks to Mr Melens for helping to organise this.

Health Week

We have a fun health week planned for next week which will conclude with our sports afternoon at Inverness High School 14th June 12.45 to 2.15 pm.  We hope everyone is able to come along and support the event.

Staffing

When staff are absent we endeavour to cover the classes internally.  Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Wishing you a lovely, restful weekend :)
