Happy Friday everyone!

We have had a very busy week and are looking forward to the weekend.

EuroQuiz

A massive well done to our representatives at the Euro Quiz who came 3rd!!🎊🏆 Very close results this year.

P6 pupils worked together to broaden their knowledge of Europe and the wider world. Subjects covered included languages, history, geography, culture and European affairs.

''It was a little tricky but it was super fun to do. For me the easiest was translating the sentences.''

''It was fun. The history questions were tricky.''

Primary School Quiz

The children from P6 and P7 joined together as a team to take part in the Rotary Quiz. The children answered 4 rounds of general knowledge questions and had a great time. The questions were very entertaining and wide ranging.  A good few of them challenged the grown-ups in the audience too.

Great job Team Central!

Morrison Construction

Morrison Construction is the contractor responsible for renovating the Historic Northern Meeting Park, as part of UK Government’s Levelling Up Fund.  The Morrison Construction team visited our P4 pupils. The children expanded their knowledge about construction sites and people who worked there.  The pupils were asked to create posters showing what the Northern Meeting Park means to them.

The children were excited to see all the changes being made to an iconic part of Inverness.

Fairtrade Assembly

Thank you to P3 pupils for leading the Fair Trade assembly yesterday. The children learnt what Fairtrade is and which products are Fairtrade.

'' Fairtrade means that farmers and workers receive a fair price for the goods they produce.''

I was a bit nervous but afterwards I felt really proud of our class.”

“I was proud of myself for speaking in front of so many people and I am excited to do it again.”

“I enjoyed learning about how we can help farmers in other countries by buying Fairtrade products in shops.”

“It was great, I enjoyed learning about Fairtrade and learning the songs and poem.”

Home School Partnership Learning

Fairtrade is about better prices, safe working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers. There are over 6,000 Fairtrade products including flowers, chocolate, tea and beauty.

Whilst shopping, look at all the foods that have the Fairtrade logo on. Can you find the country of origin on the items?

Easter Service

We are looking forward to our Easter Service on Wednesday, 27th March at 1:30pm. All families are warmly invited.

Lost Property

We have collected a significant amount of clothing from upper stage cloakrooms.  If you recognise any of the items on the photo, please get in touch with the school office. Please remember that all items that children bring to school should be labelled with their names.

Any clothing items not collected by the end of the month will be donated to charity.
