Happy Friday everyone!

We have had a very busy week and are looking forward to the weekend.

Bught Park and Northern Meeting Park Levelling Up Project

As part of the project, P7 children were invited to take part in a shinty training session with the Shinty Inverness Club. John Lamont, Member of  Parliament, was present and enjoyed watching the children play.

Winter Showcase

On Wednesday 20th December 2023 Central School will host a Winter Showcase in the school hall.

Our performance is likely to last approx. 1 hour 30 mins with a short 15-minute comfort break.  Due to size of our hall and our efforts to accommodate everyone, we are hoping to allocate two tickets per family.  Please note that ELC will only perform at 1pm show. Children under 5's may sit on an adult's lap. We kindly ask to leave prams under the shelter, near the climbing wall.

Attendance slips to be return no later than Monday 4th December.

Stay, Play and Learn

Thank you to all families who came to our Stay, Play and Learn session to celebrate St.Andrews's Day. The nursery children sang two traditional Scottish songs ''The Three Craws'' and ''Ye canny shove yer grannie aff a bus'' and did a bit of Scottish dancing. For snack, the pupils tasted shortbread.

Home School Partnership Learning

St. Andrew’s Day is a national holiday in Scotland that is celebrated with feasts and festivals on November 30 every year. It’s also Scotland’s national day, which marks the beginning of Scotland as a nation.

You could celebrate St.Andrew's Day by listening to some Scottish folk music or bagpipes. You could also try some traditional Scottish food. The national dish of Scotland is haggis, neeps and tatties, or, if you have a sweet tooth, how about some tasty Scottish shortbread?
