Another busy week has flown by.  We were glad to have the full week in school.

Adverse weather

Thank you for your patience and support during last week's adverse weather.

May I remind you schools have a dial-in service if there is risk of closure due to adverse weather?

This allows parents to listen to a recorded message.

This information generally goes up after 8am, however we will post any closure information as soon as we can on Google classroom and on our facebook page first.

Parents' evening

We look forward to seeing you in person for Parent’s Evenings on Tuesday 13th February and on Thursday 15th February. Appointment slips will be sent soon.

Staffing

Mrs Elleithi finshed work today in her role as Pupil Support Assistant.  We thank her for her service at Central and wish her all the best.  Miss Harrison and Mr Tondor will work cover Mrs Ellethi's hours until an appointment has been made.

Transition to P1

Nursery pupils have started their transition to P1. This week they explored the P1 area and joined in learning with our current P1s. The transition focus for this term is Literacy. We will publish various phonological awareness activities to try at home which will help to build foundations for learning to read.   

Enrolment

Primary 1

If your child will be five years of age on or before 28 February 2025, they are eligible to enrol for Primary 1.

If you wish to enrol your child for Primary 1, please do so during enrolment week.

Enrolment week for Primary 1 pupils will take place from Monday 29 January to Friday 2 February 2024.

Early Learning and Childcare

Children born between 1 March 2020 and 28 February 2022 are entitled to a funded Early Learning and Childcare place.

For Early Learning and Childcare places, enrolment week commences Monday 12 February and concludes on Friday 16 February 2024.
