Happy Friday everyone!

We had lots of folks off this week with various bugs. Please take care of yourself and let us know if your child is not well enough to attend school.

Anti-Bullying Week

We are looking forward to taking part in Anti-Bullying week. The theme is Make A Noise About Bullying.

Remembrance Day Assembly

P6 gave a really informative assembly about the Remembrance Day. The pupils did superb job of preparing and sharing facts and information about the history and meaning of different colours of poppies. Children were reminded about special commemorative plaque which is in our hall.

Great job and well done!

On behalf of school vice and house captain laid hand maid wreath at War Memorial Garden this afternoon.

Makaton Friendly

Our nursery has been awarded Bronze Makaton Friendly Accreditation.

Makaton is a language programme (incorporating a lot of British Sign Language signs) which was designed to provide functional communication. It encourages and develops language and literacy skills through the combined use of signs and symbols with speech.  It enables children with learning and or communication difficulties to interact with others.

Each week we teach the nursery children, and their families, a new Makaton sign to increase their Makaton vocabulary.

Further information about Makaton can be found here: https://www.makaton.org/
