31st May 2024

Happy Friday everyone

We have had a very busy and enjoyable last week of May.

ASG Sports Event

Some children from P 1- 5 took part in our ASG (Associated School Group) event today hosted by Dalneigh Primary.

The event was supported by local businesses who provided snacks and presentation of prizes.

This is the first time the event has run and we anticipate this will become a regular event.

All our pupils had good fun taking part, well done!

Food and Farming Event

Primary 6 had a super visit to the food and Farming event on the Black Isle on Wednesday.

They were finding out about farming and where our food comes from.

Whin Park

Mrs MacGillvary came in to share the new designs for Whin Park with Primary 6.

The children had an opportunity to vote for their favourite design.

ELC

Our nursery pupils have been busy making the most of the weather this week with lots of outdoor play opportunities.

Great to see so many happy faces enjoying playing with their friends.

Assembly

We enjoyed an assembly together on Monday and shared a story about inclusion.

Our children demonstrated a good understanding of what inclusion means and how we celebrate everyone’s strengths and differences as a school.

Parent and Pupil Voice.

Over the last week or so we have been asking the children for feedback through questionnaires on how we are doing as a school.

We have had some conversations with small groups and been given some super thoughts and ideas about how we continue to improve our learning environment and learner experiences.

We have posted a QR code for parents to give us feedback on google classroom and there is also a paper copy of the QR code in school bags.

We ask that you take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire which can be anonymous.

The questionnaires are based on the Education Scotland questions.  There is one for primary aged children and one for nursery aged children.
