Happy Friday!

We have had a busy week and thoroughly enjoyed the sunshine.

World Book Day

Thank you to P2 pupils for leading the World Book Day assembly yesterday. World Book Day was created by UNESCO on 23rd April 1995 as a worldwide celebration of books and reading. The first World Book Day in the UK and Ireland took place in 1997 to encourage young people to discover the pleasure of reading.

''35 Years of Play'' exhibition at Inverness Museum

All Central pupils will visit the Inverness Museum to see the Play! exhibition. The exhibition highlights the value of play, drawing on a range of Care and Learning Alliance and others’ play experiences, toys and games.

P1, P7 and ELC children visited the museum this week and really enjoyed it.

''We saw lots of artefacts. I enjoyed it.''

''I liked the taxidermy animals.''

''I like using the toys that had been set up.''

We are looking for some parent helpers who can come and help us with the following museum trips:

Please get in touch with the class teacher if you can assist.

Easter-themed Messy Church

All children are invited to attend an Easter-themed Messy Church at Ness Bank on Sunday 17th March 2024  from 12.30 – 2.30pm.  The special guest is ‘Bob’ the puppet from Out of the Box.  This free event for families includes lunch, drama, fun activities and family entertainment.

Lost Property

We have a collection of lost property items within the school.  If you recognise any of the items, you will find a box in the reception area of the school. Please remember that all items that children bring to school should be labelled with their names.

Any clothing items not collected by the end of the month will be donated to charity.
