Adding Badge Access Card to a Person
How to add a card access badge to a person.
First you will need to access the Web Client for the HikCentral Server.
Just head to 98.186.18.233:85
(HikCentral is best configured on Windows, on macOS you will be told if something is not supported on MAC in the browser. If you encounter this you will need to use a Windows machine.)
This will take you to a page that looks like this:
Go ahead and log in with your credentials, if you do not have credentials please open a ticket with IT by emailing help@ilava.com with your request for HikCentral Access.
Once you are logged in the page will look something like this:
This page can be customized to your preferences, this view is centered around access control for this account.
Next, click on the menu icon in the top left and select Person:
Once you are on the Person page we can find the person we want to apply a access card badge to.
When searching for a person there are a few things to consider:
You can look for the person by choosing the department on the left hand side of the page.
You can search for the person by entering their name in the "Full Name" field.
If searching by name you will want to ensure that "Include Sub-Group" is selected. If this is not checked then it will only search within the currently highlighted group on the left hand department list.
If the search is not finding them always make sure to double check if the "Include Sub-Group" box is checked. Another thing to consider is that the names are all legal names, so if searching for a "nickname" it will likely not find it.
Once you have a person pulled up to add the badge to the person:
You will want to select "Credential Management." You will now assign a badge to the person profile.
From here you will assign a badge to the person.
Enter the information for the Card Enrollment Station to enable it for access. (HikCentral Engineering is looking at why this does not automatically occur since it is already setup in the system. Hopefully these next steps will not be needed in the near future.)
For the enrollment station:
The device address is 192.168.1.3
The port is 8000
The username is admin
The password is iLAVA2019!
Click Save
Now scan the badge on the USB reader or the Enrollment Station at the front guard desk at cultivation.
Once the badge is added you can click Save on the pullout side menu.
Now click Save again on the person's profile page.
