This seems to be a new issue with the Jane printers, but it has now happened at both locations.
If you have a Jane printer that is shooting out orders from hours or even days before the current time, and it randomly stops printing as well, here's what to do.
Turn off the Jane printer, and then turn it on again.
It should print another batch of orders, with the time stamp going up slowly closer to the current time. It may lock up and stop after a few of these print, if it has several old orders backed up.
If so, turn it off and on again, and repeat this process. You may need to do this several times until the slips catch up with the current time and date.
If the problem persists and the printer stops printing tickets, contact the support team and we can get in contact with the Jane team for you to see if anything is blocking the jobs on their end.
Our representative from iHeartJane told us this can happen due to connection issues or resets, however this problem has occurred at both locations now with one side not reporting any network issues. Once iHeartJane can give us more information on why this issue is happening, we will try to implement a more permanent solution. In the meantime, this process will help you get the ball rolling again.
