Here you will learn how to access the HikCentral video for live view or playback.
Video guide on how to playback videos on the web client.
To access the cameras in the browser you will first head to 98.186.18.233:85 in the browser.
(If you have not been here before you will need to install the Web Control App Plug-In. )
For Windows you simply install it. No need to do anything further unlike macOS.
For macOS see below.
Installing the Web Control App the pkg file will download, you need to open and install this. Once it is installed you will get a notification to go to System Preferences under Accessibility and check the box next to the HCWebControlService.
Once this is done head back to the browser and then click on the 4 squares in the top left. Under Video you will select Video Application.
The Video Application will then load and you can view or playback the cameras.
As you can see live view is simple enough to pull up a camera. Keep in mind you can only view on camera at a time in the Web Client. To view more than one you will need to use a PC with the HikCentral Client installed.
