Participating in the Erasmus+ course “Transforming Education: Integrating AI, AR, VR, and 3D Printing for Effective Learning” has been a highly enriching professional and personal experience. Throughout the week, I had the opportunity to deepen my understanding of how emerging technologies can transform educational practices and foster more dynamic, inclusive, and engaging learning environments.
The course provided a comprehensive overview of the potential of Artificial Intelligence in education, including hands-on sessions on prompt engineering, AI-assisted planning, and feedback tools. The introduction to tools such as Curipod, Mizou, and Brisk offered practical applications that I plan to integrate into my teaching context. Moreover, experimenting with image generators like Microsoft Designer helped me better understand how AI can support creativity in the classroom.
Equally impactful was the exploration of immersive learning technologies. The use of Virtual and Augmented Reality through platforms like 360 Cities, Google Cardboard, and ClassVR showcased powerful ways to engage students in multisensory experiences. These tools not only enhance motivation and attention but also offer new possibilities for inclusive and differentiated instruction.
The sessions on 3D printing opened a new window into hands-on learning and digital fabrication. Understanding the use of different materials, software, and printing techniques has equipped me with the knowledge to potentially bring this technology into future school projects.
Beyond the technical and pedagogical aspects, the intercultural dimension of the course was incredibly valuable. Sharing experiences with educators from across Europe has expanded my perspective, allowed me to reflect on my own teaching practices, and inspired ideas for future collaboration.
As someone currently researching the implications of AI in secondary education, this course has not only reinforced my motivation but also enriched my understanding with practical insights that I can connect with my academic work. It has been a pleasure to engage in thoughtful discussions with fellow participants and with the trainer, whose expertise and passion made each session dynamic and meaningful.
In conclusion, this Erasmus experience has empowered me with tools, perspectives, and connections that will undoubtedly influence my future teaching and professional growth. I return home with renewed inspiration and a stronger belief in the transformative power of technology in education.
