As part of the Erasmus+ project Empowering Educators in the Digital Age (2023-1-ES01-KA121-SCH-000131575), IBSTEAM hosted a delegation of experts from the universities FAU of Nuremberg and Bamberg.
Professors Simon Heid, Cindy Bärnreuther, and Melanie Stephan (FAU Nuremberg, Department of Media Education), along with Christof Beer (University of Bamberg), participated in a series of working sessions with the IBSTEAM team. These sessions addressed key educational challenges linked to the growing presence of digital technologies in schools, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, critical thinking, and digital well-being.
The main objective of this international collaboration was to share knowledge and best practices to foster an ethical, critical, and human-centred digital education. The exchange promoted media literacy, digital well-being, and teacher empowerment to lead innovative, responsible use of technology in the classroom.
This initiative formed the closing phase of a European project that included training activities, mobilities, and international cooperation aimed at strengthening the digital competencies of teachers in the Balearic Islands.
