The first day of the course started with a warm welcome and an introduction to our trainer, Ági Enyedi. To foster connections among participants, we engaged in the "A Small Thing from Home" activity, where everyone shared a personal object reflecting their interests or personality. Ice-breaking activities like "Tea or Coffee?" helped initiate discussions about our expectations and needs.
We explored the role of questions in learning, distinguishing between display questions, which elicit short, recall-based answers, and real questions, which encourage reflection and creativity. This discussion was linked to Bloom’s Taxonomy, helping us understand different levels of thinking. Through practical exercises, we learned to formulate more effective questions.
Later, we examined how helping professions like psychology and mediation use questions to clarify emotions, explore situations, identify challenges, and generate solutions. The day ended with "3-2-1 Takeaways", where we reflected on key insights and new perspectives gained.
