Can you now try and remember some of the animals which may live on a farm? Do you have a favourite animal and if so why? Can you now draw a picture of your favourite farm animal below using whatever resources you have at home?

Write the numbers on the bottles (or even dots in various numbers), bowl the ball. The total number on the fallen bottles is your score, count your score! Who has won the game?

Here are some C.V.C. Tric a Chlic, yellow words for you to read. Each of the words has an 'a' or an 'e' sound in the middle. Listen to the video and read the words with me. There is one star for each letter sound in the words. Use your finger to follow the stars/letters. Remember, if you are uncertain about how to pronounce some of the letters use the sheet/table below.

Look at the following worksheet containing the names of various animals which live on the farm. The initial letter sound of each is missing. Each missing letter is one from our Tric a Chlic (Yellow) phonics scheme of work which we have been learning in class. Use the Tedi Twt story from yesterday and the videos to help you remember.

Unlike yesterday's video the numbers are not in the correct order so you will therefore need to look and listen carefully!

Look at the various numbers and farm animals and colour the correct number of animals to correspond with the number bedside them.

Sorting farm animals and recycling material
Take a look at the picture “Ar y fferm”, what can you see? What should be wandering the fields and what should be in a recycling bin? Can you sort out the items correctly?

Beth am i ni chwarae gêm ‘Pwy ydw i?’ Gwrandewch ar y fideo ac ar y cliwiau am yr anifeiliaid gwahnol. Mae’n rhai i chi ddyfalu enw’r anifail o’r cliwiau sydd ar gael. Rydw i’n darllen y cliwiau yn y Gymraeg ond mae yna gyfieithiaid Saesneg yno hefyd rhag ofn, i helpu gyda’r eirfa. Gwrandewch yn astud! / Let us play a game ‘Who am I?’ Listen to the video and to the clues about the various animals. You have to guess the name of each animal based on the clues given. I have read the clues in Welsh but there is an English translation also to help with the vocabulary. Listen carefully!

It’s time to practise your pencil skills. Try and practise forming rounded lines as in the picture. Start on the left hand side of the page and keep your pencil on the paper to create one long rounded line.

21.01.05 Llyfr Rhigwm a rhif 123Dewch i ymarfer eich sgiliau rhif a sgiliau mudol mân! Mae angen i chi dorri allan y teils rhif a’u gosod yn y drefn cywir er mwyn creu llun y fferm. Yna gallwch chi liwio’r teils er mwyn creu llun y fferm lliwgar./ Come and practise your number and fine motor skills. You will need to cut out the numbered tiles and place them in the correct order in order to create a picture of a farm. You can then colour the tiles to create a colourful farm.
HER- beth am ofyn i rywun newid y rhifau ar y teils e.e. 6-10, 10-15 neu hyd yn oed cymysgedd o rifau sydd ddim yn dilyn a’u gosod o’r lleiaf-mwyaf/ mwyaf-lleiaf. Gallwch chi wneud hyn sawl gwaith.
CHALLENGE- why not ask someone to change the numbers on the tiles e.g. 6-10, 10-15 or even a combination of numbers and place them in the correct order from lowest-highest/ highest-lowest. You can repeat this several times.

Garden Birds Count.pdfYesterday was World Bird Day. A day to recognize the importance of birds. While birds are amazing, they are also a huge group of animals that are under particular threat. And the phrase "canary in the coal mine" was named after birds for a reason - they are the barometers of our planet's environmental health. The fact that so many bird species are threatened by the illegal pet trade, disease and habitat loss means that it is more important than ever to raise public awareness of the needs of birds. The survival of hundreds of species depends on it! Watch the power point above to learn more about garden birds.
Why not use or create a leaflet similar to this one to count the birds in your garden?

Dewch i wrando ar y fideo isod sydd yn rhoi rhai ffeithiau am anifeiliaid gwahanol y fferm. Mae angen i chi wrando'n astud gan fod tasg i ddilyn./ Listen to the following video containing facts about some farm animals. You will need to listen carefully as there is a task to follow.
21.01.06 Ffeil o ffeithiau ffermEwch ati nawr i ddeiws unrhyw ddau anifail fferm er mwyn creu 'ffeil o ffeithiau' amdanynt. Meddyliwch am y llyfrau a'r fideos rydych chi wedi eu gweld yn ystod yr wythnos. Ceisiwch feddwl am 5 ffaith ar gyfer y ddau anifail ond os ydych chi'n gallu meddwl am fwy mae hynny'n wych! Gallai rheini fod yn bethau syml fel lliw y corff, nifer y coesau ay.y.b.
Now choose any two farm animals in order to create a basic 'list of facts' about them. Think of the books and videos that you have seen this week. Try and think of 5 facts for each animal if you can but if you can think of more that's great! The facts can be simple things such as their body colour or how many legs etc.

21.01.06 Pa rif ar gollEich tasg yw i ddidoli/ gosod mewn i ddau set gwahanol pethau sydd yn byw ar y fferm (gan gynnwys y ffarmwr!). Mae angen i chi feddwl beth sydd gyda 2 goes a beth sydd dya 4 coes. Gallwch chi naill ai dynnu lluniau yn eich llyfr gwaith neu os oes anifeiliaid y fferm gyda chi adref gallwch chi wneud y dasg yn ymarferol!/ Your task is to place things which live on a farm (including the farmer!) into two sets, one set having two legs, the other having four legs! You can draw these in your work book, or if you have a set of farm animals at home you can make it a practical task!

Nawr ein bod ni wedi dod i ddiwedd dysgu'r llythrennau Cam 1 melyn Tric a Chlic, beth am greu gêm syml yn eich llyfr/ar ddarn o bapur yn debyg i'r un isod er mwyn adolygu enwau'r llythrennau (a lliwiau)? Defnyddiwch bensiliau lliw i uwcholeuo'r llythrennau yn y grid i gydfynd ȃ'r lliwiau priodol. Mae'n bosib i amrywio'r llythrennau a'r lliwiau fel y dymunwch.
Now that we have come to the end of learning the yellow Tric a Chlic letters, why not create a simple game like the one below in order to revise the letters (and colours)? You will need to use coloured pencils to highlight the letters in the boxes to match the colours chosen. You can vary the letters and colours as you choose.

The boy in the picture has created a game to help him identify Tric a Chlic words. Why not create a similar game using the words mat, map, mam, ham as in the above task? Ask an adult to shout out the words for you and try to 'hit' the correct words as quickly as possible.

WHAT IS THE MISSING NUMBER? Today's task is a practical one. Can you create an activity like the one Mrs Sennitt has created using lolly sticks and pegs? You will need to remember the number line to 10 and place the correct numbered peg in the correct gap. Having created the game, keep it safe so that you can practise over and over again!

Don't worry if you don't have the resources at home, you can create the same activity and outcome using whatever you may have at home e.g. paper, cardboard, pencils, felt pens etc. There are some ideas below.
