Today's featured task to be submitted through Google Classroom is the Welsh vlog. Pupils have been working on this for over a week, planning, writing, evaluating their plan and filming. The vlog should nearly be ready by today.

Here are this week's vocabulary files. Following feedback from parents who would like more difficult work for their child, we have differentiated the files for pupils from this week onwards.

Your child should choose a level and use these files all week to learn the vocabulary and patterns off by heart. They need to know the pronunciation, meaning and the spelling. This is the first day to learn these words.

Parents:

Today is the last step in the pupils' vlog (video + blog).

So far, they should have watched 2 videos outlining what makes a successful vlog. They have then created and evaluated a planning sheet for their vlog.

They should have been filming since Tuesday, if they have a filming device (Phone / Tablet / iPad / camera) that will allow them to complete the work. This work needs to be uploaded as the featured task on to the Google Classroom on Thursday. If they cannot complete the work, they could upload their script instead.

Follow the slides to see what you need to do today. You need paper and a pen. On Tuesday, there will be a related task, which will be your focus task for the day. Keep your work safely!

This week, we started new arrangements for Maths. By now, pupils have completed all the tasks in the booklet, therefore we need a different approach.

Three times a week, pupils will have a maths quiz on different maths topics in Google Forms, in their Google Classroom. The other two days they will practise their times tables and complete a tables task in Google Classroom. Today is a timestables day! As you see above, they can focus on the best level for them.
