The Gold of Lies - theatre programme

Today we are ending our task based on our play called The Gold of Lies. Yesterday you should have drafted your text for the programme. Typing your programme, designing it and presenting it nicely is today's focus task. This is a big task, so you will need to think about it carefully. In order for you to have plenty of time to do this, we are cutting down on the number of tasks today, so that you can have plenty of time to finish the task properly. It should take you several pleasant hours.

Last week, on 3 separate days, you should have studied the 3 scenes in the play and answered questions.

If you have not yet done this, you must go back to Wednesday, Thursday and Friday last week and study the play by listening to the English Department teachers performing it for you. You should listen to the YouTube recording, while following your PDF copy. Then you need to answer the questions each day.

Today you need to design your programme for the play The Gold of Lies, the type of programme you would be able to buy if you went to see the play in the theatre. Yesterday you should have concentrated on the content of the programme.

This is your checklist for the work you completed yesterday. It should include:

• A summary of the plot

• List of characters

• Pictures

• Information about the actors (you can choose actors to play the different parts - famous or otherwise!)

• List of music used during the performance (this is also your choice - which music would you choose?)

Maybe you need to listen to the play again in the background, as you work?

You may design your programme in any software or programme that you like.

Once you have finished, please remember to load it in Google Classroom.

Three times a week, pupils will have a maths quiz in Google Forms, in their Google Classroom. The other two days they will practise their times tables. Today is a times tables day.

The Google Forms have been set up by the Maths Department, complete with feedback and answers, so that pupils can have instant feedback within Google Classroom.
