Instructions for Parents for today's featured task:
Today's featured task is a Humanities task, focusing on Geography and climate change.
In the video, Mr Voyle explains what pupils need to do. Today's task is completed in Quizizz, not in Google Classroom.
Aim: Understand the impact of Climate Change on Wales and the wider world.
Length: 1hr (45 min clip and 15 min online quiz to be completed after viewing the programme)
Help: Pupils should start by watching Mr Voyle's video. Complex terms have been translated in the quiz.
Pupils may prefer to turn subtitles on whilst viewing the clip in order to aid with subject-specific terminology and the regional dialects of some contributors to the programme. Usual S4C Clic instructions - pupils need to log in, like they do every day to watch their daily programme.
Deadline: Pupils should complete the task today, in an ideal world. However ... the quiz is live until 1 June.
The programme is available on S4C Clic for 16 more days, then it disappears.

Parents: Today's reading tasks are about the Urdd's annual message of peace and goodwill. This message is presented by the young people of Wales annually on 18 May. We are looking at last year's message. The first two questions are for all pupils, the third question is a gold question, for those seeking a challenge.
In how many languages was the Urdd’s message presented in 2019?

You should think about what the sea means to you.
Also ask yourself: What are the other things associated with the sea?
You should use your initial thoughts to springboard your ideas.

Last week, we started new arrangements for Maths. By now, pupils have completed all the tasks in the booklet, therefore we need a different approach.
Three times a week, pupils will have a maths quiz in Google Forms, in their Google Classroom. The other two days they will practise their times tables. As they enter, they will need to choose a level:

Pupils should have completed one Audible book by now, and should choose another. Some books are longer than others. Some may take more than a week to complete. Pupils should choose one and stick to it until the end, before choosing a new one. All the books listed are currently free of charge during the CoronaVirus outbreak.
