Here are this week's vocabulary files. Following feedback from parents who would like more difficult work for their child, we have differentiated the files for pupils from this week onwards.

Your child should choose a level and use these files all week to learn the vocabulary and patterns off by heart. They need to know the pronunciation, meaning and the spelling. This is the first day to learn these words.

Parents:

Today, pupils need to continue with their vlog (video + blog). They have until Thursday to finish it.

So far, they should have watched 2 videos outlining what makes a successful vlog. They have then created and evaluated a planning sheet for their vlog.

Today, they need to continue filming and editing their vlog, if they have a filming device (Phone / Tablet / iPad / camera) that will allow them to complete the work. This work needs to be uploaded as the featured task on to the Google Classroom on Thursday. If they cannot complete the work, they could upload their script instead.

MAE'R LINC YN EICH GOOGLE CLASSROOM

Today, we start new arrangements for Maths. By now, pupils have completed all the tasks in the booklet, therefore we need a different approach.

Three times a week, pupils will have a maths quiz in Google Forms, in their Google Classroom. The other two days they will practise their times tables. As they enter, they will need to choose a level:

🥇gold (section 1,2,3 maximum mark of of 30)

🥈silver (section 1,2 maximum mark of 20)

🥉bronze (section 1 maximum mark of 10)

The Google Forms have been set up by the Maths Department, complete with feedback and answers, so that pupils can have instant feedback within Google Classroom.

Parents: This is an additional Maths task, for those pupils looking for a challenge. This is an investigation, based on one of Frenchman René Descartes's theories. There is also an advanced article to read a little about Descartes's background and history.
