Today we are starting our final task based on our play called The Gold of Lies. Typing it up and presenting it nicely will be tomorrow's focus task. This is a big task, so you will need to think about it carefully.

Last week, on 3 separate days, you should have studied the 3 scenes in the play and answered questions.

If you have not yet done this, you must go back to Wednesday, Thursday and Friday last week and study the play by listening to the English Department teachers performing it for you. You should listen to the YouTube recording, while following your PDF copy. Then you need to answer the questions each day.

Today's task: You need to design a programme for the play The Gold of Lies, the type of programme you would be able to buy if you went to see the play in the theatre. Today you will concentrate on the content of the programme.

You will need to include:

• A summary of the plot

• List of characters

• Pictures (a job for tomorrow, not today)

• Information about the actors (you can choose actors to play the different parts - famous or otherwise!)

• List of music used during the performance (this is also your choice - which music would you choose?)

Tomorrow, as your focus task, you will need to type your programme, and consider the design of the programme carefully.

Today you need to consider the following questions:

How will you plan your programme? e.g. mind map, list, spider diagram.

Then you need to draft the work carefully. Write on paper or in your English books.

Maybe you need to listen to the play again in the background, as you work?

Three times a week, pupils will have a maths quiz in Google Forms, in their Google Classroom. The other two days they will practise their times tables. As they enter, they will need to choose a level:

The Google Forms have been set up by the Maths Department, complete with feedback and answers, so that pupils can have instant feedback within Google Classroom.
