Managing your project (optional)
You might find it helpful to set up a trello board with all the tasks you are going to need to complete to create your 3D model.
Add a link to this to your Google Slide for this assessment.
Selecting a context and finding inspiration
a) Read the task sheet for what you need to include for this task.
b) Check the context you want to do with the teacher before preceding
a) Read the task sheet for what you need to include for this task.
b) List the functional and aesthetic requirements (at least 4). These are things your outcome must have to be successful.
c) Identify the target audience
a) Read the task sheet for what you need to include for this task.
b) Use the resources on 3D elements principles and elements & layout design to help you with designing (you will need to include elements of these in your designs.
b) Use the design sheet below to present your ideas - the teacher will have these available in A3 size for you to use.
c) Once you have decided on a design, create a blueprint to use as a reference image when modelling.
Relevant Implications
For your project. Explain the implication and show how you have addressed it. Select 3 of the implications from the list below that are relevant t
Achieved - Must do:
Select 3 of the implications below (they must be relevant to your project).
For each one give an explanation of,
A definition of the implication
How does it relate to your project?
Why it is important for your project?
Aiming for Merit:
What is required for achieved, plus:
An explanation and/or screenshots showing how you addressed the implication in your project.
See the Technology website for information on implications
a) Read the task sheet for what you need to include for this task.
b) Keep a log of how you developed your outcome, any feedback you got and the improvements you have made. You could lay it out as a table in your google slide
REQUIREMENTS FOR TASK:
Achieved - Must do:
Show how you developed and tested your outcome to ensure its fit for purpose.
Save versions of your work.
Aiming for Merit:
What is required for achieved, plus:
Show how you have used testing to improve the outcome e.g. composition, use of additional tools and techniques, lighting, materials.
Show effective use of elements and principles of 3D design.
Aiming for Excellence:
What is required for Achieved and Merit, plus:
Show that you have iteratively improved the outcome throughout all stages of the development.
Show trialling of multiple options (composition, lighting, materials, etc.) and select the most suitable based on the requirements and end-user feedback.
Show a clear refinement and improvement of the design.
Clearly naming and structuring files and folders, using collections and naming objects, effective use of version control.
Final Testing and Evaluation
Final Testing:
Show that you have tested your final outcome. This could include:
Checking everything loads correctly.
Checking graphics/ lightning display correctly.
If there is text it has been proofread and there are no obvious spelling/ grammatical issues (minor spelling/ grammar issues are OK for Achieved).
If it is a printed outcome, test prints have been completed.
Show test/ previews of renders.
Show the advanced procedure you have used.
Make notes of anything that needs to be improved and why?
Gain and record final end-user feedback.
Based on the testing and end-user feedback, make the changes required, this could involve multiple refinements.
Final Evaluation:
Check your outcome meets the purpose and all of the requirements.
Screenshot/ record the advanced skills used.
