AI use and COMP

AI can be a helpful learning tool.

There are very effective AI agents that can write good code - in the hands of a skilled developer. Do play with these in your own time, they will teach you lots.

You may not use AI to generate any code you use for your assessments. We are assessing your programming skill, not your ability to manage AI.

Comments are required for the programming standard:

Achieved:

setting out the program code clearly and documenting the program with comments 

Merit:

documenting the program with appropriate variable/module names and organised comments that describe code function and behaviour 

Comments will also contribute to the overall quality of your code and can provide evidence of debugging and development.
