We are going to use MagicaVoxel to create Voxel models for our 3D enviroment
Open MagicalVoxel
MagicaVoxel is installed on the school computers.
Open it by finding it in the windows search bar
Create a folder for your models in your OneDrive Documents/10DTEC folder named: voxel
You now have a folder: Documents/10DTEC/voxel
If you are installing Magica Voxel at home, these tutorials and the computers at school are using version 99.4 The latest version has buttons in different locations.
If you have a Chromebook Goxel is an alternative that has many of the features of MagicaVoxel.
Learn how to create a voxel dog by watching the video on the right =>
Save a .VOX master file in your Documents/10DTEC/voxel so you can go back and re-edit your model latter (.vox is equivalent to a layered Photoshop file - PSD)
NOTE: You must save your file inside your Documents folder as you might NOT be able to retrieve them later.
Now you have all the basics. There is a lot more you can learn in Magica Voxel. You can find plenty of tutorials online. Below are a few to get you started.
Use what you know so far and the video to the right to create some trees
Save and export these so you will be able to bring them into your WebVR application.
Include features like roads, rivers, houses and trees.
