Trello & breaking up the project into smaller components
Look at what you designed in 3.2 to help you work out what you need to do in what order.
Update your existing trello board with the tasks you are going to need to do to develop your site.
Continue to use your Trello board throughout the development of your site and take part in class Scrum meetings.
We will also be setting milestones as a class to help keep us on track.
How to link GitHub Commits to trello
Setting up version Control
Set up a GitHub repository. The teacher will do this for you through Github Classroom, but depending on whether you use Codespaces or VS Code, there may be additional steps you need to take.
Use the version control tab on Codespaces/ VS code to manage your versions.
Make an initial/ test commit to make the master branch.
Github during development.
You MUST commit your work to GitHub regularly throughout the development of your site. This should reflect the smaller components you have broken the project up into and may include notes on improvements you have made.
You MAY want to create a new branch when working on a new feature (E.G. navigation bar, slideshow). Merge the branch you are working on into the master branch when you are finished (this is something we are looking for excellence)
Coding the website and documenting its development
In this task, you are required to develop your site and show how you have used testing, trialling and end-user feedback to improve both the website as a whole and individual components (e.g. navigation bar).
Here is a set-up check-list to help you get started with your website.
Remember to use Google Developer tools and lighthouse test to help you.
